Always double check they can deliver on the weekends and that they’ll set up a display for you if your caterer is not willing/able to set it up.

Logistics to Consider for a Tiered Wedding Cake
If you do go the traditional route with a multi-tiered wedding cake, don’t forget the behind-the-scenes logistics. It’s not just about picking a cake; it’s about ensuring a smooth setup and service:
- Fridge Space: Check with your venue and caterer to ensure there’s room to store your cake if it’s delivered early. If there is not, you’ll need to arrange your baker to deliver it later in the day (during the cocktail hour is a good time).
- Cake Setup & Service: Coordinate with your caterer to move the cake to the dessert table and handle cutting and serving. If your caterer contractually won’t move the cake, make sure you ask your baker to set it up upon delivery.
